Sacred Sun Will Hold the Fourth National Lead Acid Battery New Technology Symposium

Lead acid battery industry is an important part of the new energy industry. For a long time, lead acid batteries are widely used in starting power, motive power, emergency backup and energy storage and provide a reliable guarantee for the national economy, national defense and people's lives. Lead acid battery industry has become an essential foundation of national economy and sustainable development of society; it plays a key role in national economic construction.

In recent years, the lead acid battery industry in China is phasing out backward production capacity through the implementation of environmental remediation and regulations on one hand. The main contents of this symposium include: the implementation of lead acid battery industry standards, new technology for lead carbon batteries and carbon fiber grid battery, new materials for lead carbon battery, new-type long-life grid alloy, research and industrialization of new technology for waste lead-acid battery.

Up to now, Sacred Sun FCP lead carbon deep cycle battery with super long life based on Furukawa technology could operate 4200 cycles at 70% depth of discharge (DOD). Provided that one day one cycle, battery service life could up to 10 years, reduce the cost per kW h of energy storage to 0.08 Dollar (0.5RMB). M&S Logistics Park 300KW Micro-grid energy storage project

Project Name: M&S Logistics Park 300KW Micro-grid energy storage project in PeterBorough city, UK

Subject: As one of UK’s leading retailers, M&S has more than 1,382 stores around the world. It is committed to delivering sustainable value for its stakeholders and making every moment special through the high quality. Its own brand food, clothing and home products could be offered in its stores and online both in the UK and international.

System solution: The micro-grid energy storage project’s PV (photovoltaic) is 1MW and was finished installation by another company (its PV inverter is from DELTA). The 150KW PCS (power control system) was provided by Shenzhen Sheng Hong Company. Sacred Sun was only responsible for the energy storage part of the Micro-grid energy storage project. The energy storage system contains 2 containers and each container was composed of 288 pcs FCP-1000 lead carbon batteries, two group batteries in two containers were connected in parallel. Each container was equipped with air conditioning and ventilation equipment.

Application scenarios: Since all large PV power plants, wind power plants, nuclear power plants were running direct on-grid during the day (10 am to 5 pm); such logistics park small PV site is not able to connect to the grid limited by technology in UK. In view of this, the small energy storage PV system has to storage the electricity generated by itself for personal using or sell to the state grid at night (5 pm to 11 pm).

 On May 11, 2016, a two-day energy storage international summit "energy storage and micro grid application technology of China expo 2016" was held in Beijing international conference center.

Sacred Sun has successfully held its 25th Anniversary Celebration

  25 years is the history of culture accumulation;
    25 years is the process of cornerstone compaction;
    25 years is the witnessed of suffering and hardships had undergone yesterday;
    25 years, we are expecting the splendid tomorrow.
    On Jan. 16, 2016, Sacred Sun has held its 25th Anniversary Celebration at the Confucius Culture Exhibition Center. 

    More than 1600 people were present at the celebration, in addition to senior executives and employees, there were also industry leaders, experts, academician and professors of scientific research institutions at home and abroad, media reporters, customer representatives, relative partners and company retired employees. 

    The celebration was composed of three sections: Commemorate, Cohesion, Forward, including 2015 Summary & Awards Ceremony, and 2016 New Year Art Performance.

    At 13:58, the celebration began with the high momentum and courageous dance ‘Dream of Sacred Sun’.

    At the beginning of the celebration, Sacred Sun has received congratulatory letters from industry association, and municipal government, the letters expressed great affirmation to Sacred Sun for contribution to the industry and local economic development, and put forward higher requirements for future work.

    During the celebration, President Song Bin has delivered important speeches to express the gratefulness to all the walks of life. Former General Manager Jing Yong, General Manager of Sacred Sun Gao Yunkui and Deputy General Manager Li Shuhua have presented the awards ’25th Anniversary Memorial Award’, ‘25th Anniversary Development Contribution Award’, ‘25th Anniversary Top 10 Figures who moved Sacred Sun ’.

    After the Awards Ceremony, wonderful performances were presented to audiences, including singing, dancing, sketch, and chorus.
